Overview

Create, update, and manage quotes for your customers. Track quote status, send quotes to customers, handle acceptances and declinations, and export quote data as needed.

Primary Concepts

  • Quote: a pricing proposal sent to a customer before an order is placed.
  • Line Item: a product or service included in the quote.
  • Status: where the quote is in its lifecycle (draft, sent, accepted, declined).
  • Version: multiple versions of a quote can be created and tracked.
  • Customer View: quotes organized by customer for easy access.

Typical Scenarios

Create a quote with items and pricing, send it to a customer, track customer responses (acceptance or declination), create new versions of quotes, and export quote data for reporting.

API Versioning

  • Endpoints live under version folders (e.g., v1, v2).
  • Use the latest stable version when available.
  • Avoid mixing versions in the same client flow.
  • Core ideas stay the same; request/response shapes may change.
