Quotes
Overview
Create, update, and manage quotes for your customers. Track quote status, send quotes to customers, handle acceptances and declinations, and export quote data as needed.
Primary Concepts
- Quote: a pricing proposal sent to a customer before an order is placed.
- Line Item: a product or service included in the quote.
- Status: where the quote is in its lifecycle (draft, sent, accepted, declined).
- Version: multiple versions of a quote can be created and tracked.
- Customer View: quotes organized by customer for easy access.
Typical Scenarios
Create a quote with items and pricing, send it to a customer, track customer responses (acceptance or declination), create new versions of quotes, and export quote data for reporting.
API Versioning
- Endpoints live under version folders (e.g., v1, v2).
- Use the latest stable version when available.
- Avoid mixing versions in the same client flow.
- Core ideas stay the same; request/response shapes may change.
