Product Images

The Product Images tab allows you to upload and manage images for a product. Adding images enhances product visibility and helps customers better understand what they are purchasing.

Product Images

Uploading a Product Image

To add an image to a product:

  1. Navigate to the Product Images tab within the product editor.
  2. Click the Upload button to select an image from your computer.
  3. Once uploaded, the image will appear in the product gallery.

The first image is used as the primary image — this is the one shown on cards, in the cart, at checkout and on featured product sections.

Managing Product Images

After an image has been uploaded, you can:

  • Replace: Upload a new image to replace the existing one.
  • Remove: Delete an image if it is no longer relevant.

Image guidelines

Product images are reused across the webshop and on Featured product sections in the customer portal. Following the recommendations below keeps your products looking sharp everywhere they appear.

General rules

  • Allowed formats: PNG and JPG/JPEG.
  • Maximum file size: 5 MB per image.
  • Use JPG at quality ~85 for product photos — smaller files, full quality.
  • Use PNG with a transparent background when you want the product to sit on top of the card color (recommended for featured sections).
  • Use the sRGB color profile so colors look the same in every browser.

The webshop automatically generates the thumbnails used on product cards, in the cart and at checkout from the image you upload here, so you only need to upload one high-quality image per product.

PropertyRecommendation
Recommended size1280 × 960 px
Aspect ratio4 : 3
FormatJPG at quality ~85 (PNG when transparency is required)

Composition and background

  • Background: Plain white or very light grey works best — the detail viewer fills empty space with white, so any other background creates a visible seam.
  • Composition: Keep the subject centered with ~10% padding on all sides. The square thumbnails used in the cart and on list cards crop the image, so anything near the edges may be cut off.

Bundle images

Bundle media follows the same recommendations as product images. The first image in a bundle is used as the primary thumbnail.

note

The same image is also used in Featured product sections on the customer portal home page, where the card is wider than the image and the image is shown letterboxed (with empty space on the top and bottom). Saving the product image as a transparent PNG lets the card color show through that empty space. See Image guidelines → Featured product images for details.

Saving Changes

Once you've uploaded and arranged your images, click Save Changes to update the product. The images will now be displayed wherever the product appears in your sales channels.
